Past Curtains and Reno Projects

I'm still sewing our new bedroom curtains so I'm revisiting some favorite curtains and renovation work that we did on our Weatherford, Tx home.  The first shot shows the gross 80's wallpaper and dark mouldings.

Here is the mid point where we were scraping popcorn ceilings and having a painter friend spray the ceiling and all the mouldings white.
Here is the final result with the new curtains, refinished table, monogram chairs, Habitat store restored chandelier and custom built banquet by my sweet dad.  This room was hard to leave.  I love the end result.
My current curtain project reminds me of this method of mix and match.  I don't like plain curtains!  The total cost for both pairs was around $30. The fabrics were lush and the brown fabric was dark enough to hide kid fingerprints from the adjacent banquet.
Piecing fabrics adds more interest and saves money!  Give it a try.

Sincerely,
Cyn
